By signing up for or using Silver Tech Buddy, you agree to these Terms.
1. What We Do
Plain-English:
We help you with your technology — setting things up, showing you how to use them, and fixing common problems. We don’t handle banking logins, give medical advice, or repair broken hardware. We can’t promise to fix every issue, but we’ll do our best.
Legal:
Silver Tech Buddy LLC (“Company”) provides technology support, education, and troubleshooting assistance for consumer devices and software (the “Services”). The Services may include, but are not limited to, device setup, application guidance, troubleshooting, and general technology education. Services exclude: (a) handling or accessing financial accounts, online banking, or other sensitive accounts; (b) medical, legal, or financial advice; (c) emergency technical support; (d) physical hardware repair. The Company makes commercially reasonable efforts but does not guarantee resolution of any issue.
2. Payments & Subscriptions
Plain-English:
We offer three subscription plans:
Basics – $19.99/month
Buddy Play – $39.99/month
Premium – $69.99/month
Each plan comes with its own set of benefits, which we describe on our website. We bill you automatically each month until you cancel. Prices or features may change, but we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice.
Some plans may include faster response times or additional support options, but none of our plans include 24/7 “emergency” tech support.
Legal:
The Services are offered in multiple subscription tiers (currently including “Basics,” “Buddy Play,” and “Premium”) at the rates published on the Company’s website, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Each subscription tier includes the features and service levels described on the Company’s website, which may be updated from time to time.
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis via the payment method provided. The Company may modify subscription fees, plan names, features, or availability upon thirty (30) days’ written notice. No subscription tier includes emergency technical support, and response times are provided on a best-effort basis within the parameters of the purchased plan. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of Services.
3. Cancellation & Termination
Plain-English:
You can cancel anytime — just let us know. We don’t give partial refunds for the month, but you won’t be billed after your cancellation date. We can end the service if you don’t follow these Terms.
Legal:
This Agreement begins when you subscribe and continues until terminated. You may cancel at any time by written notice to [support email]. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. The Company may suspend or terminate Services immediately upon written notice if you breach these Terms. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law.
4. Your Responsibilities
Plain-English:
Please give us the right information, follow our advice carefully, and make sure your data is backed up before we work on your devices. Only give us access to accounts or devices if you have permission.
Legal:
You agree to provide accurate and complete information for the provision of Services. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of all data prior to receiving Services. You warrant that you have all rights necessary to permit the Company to access and operate any devices or accounts provided in connection with the Services.
5. Limitations of Liability
Plain-English:
We’re here to help, but sometimes things go wrong — technology is tricky. We’re not responsible for lost files, security problems, or other damages. Our maximum liability is what you paid us in the last 3 months.
Legal:
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company’s total liability arising out of or related to this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for Services in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to liability. In no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including loss of data or profits.
6. Privacy
Plain-English:
We respect your privacy. We don’t sell your info. If we need to see your screen or device, we’ll ask first. We keep records only to help you better in the future.
Legal:
The Company collects, uses, and protects personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. The Company may, with your consent, access your device remotely for the purpose of providing Services. Service history may be retained for quality and improvement purposes.
7. Changes to These Terms
Plain-English:
If we change these rules, we’ll tell you at least 30 days ahead. If you keep using Silver Tech Buddy after that, it means you agree to the new Terms.
Legal:
The Company may amend this Agreement from time to time by posting the updated version on its website or providing written notice. Amendments become effective thirty (30) days after notice. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the amended Agreement.
8. Governing Law
Plain-English:
These rules follow the laws of the state where we’re based.
Legal:
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.
